This text seeks to show how the TAPI gas pipeline project offers opportunities to stabilize and develop Afghanistan; Likewise, to contextualize this country within world geopolitics due to its geographical location, rather than due to the availability of natural resources. In this sense, in addition to contemplating the aspects described, the factors that generate interstate conflicts over oil and gas are presented, even more so considering that the oil-producing countries of Central Asia are inland, and do not have direct access to the oceans, but rather they must transport their export volumes through oil and gas pipelines.
