Investigador visitante del Centro de Estudios Hemisféricos de Seguridad William J. Perry Center - Policía Nacional de Colombia. Mayor. Magíster, administrador de empresas. Especialista en docencia universitaria y en investigación criminal, con maestrías en educación y en ciencia política. Candidato a doctor en ciencia política de la Universidad de Los Andes. Su formación académica la complementan cursos de análisis estratégico y prospectivo. Se ha desempeñado como asesor pedagógico e investigador del Observatorio Educativo para el Servicio de Policía Nacional de Colombia, y como investigador del Centro Regional de Estudios Estratégicos en Seguridad (CREES) de la Escuela Superior de Guerra. En la actualidad es investigador visitante del Centro de Estudios Hemisféricos de Seguridad William J. Perry Center, de Washington D. C.
