National and international threats to human security due to the illegal exploitation of natural resources in the Colombian Amazon

The concept of human security has gained importance in the last two decades, and today it is immovable in the academic debate and others, around the multidimensional threats of global, regional and local order. No less debatable than the previous issue is the care of the environment and particularly everything related to the Amazon as a reserve of biodiversity. Colombia has a significant extension of the Amazon, representing a strategic environmental asset that more frequently continues to be the object of misuse of its resources, illegal and indiscriminate exploitation, such as deforestation for livestock, unplanned infrastructure growth, coca crops, illegal mining, industrial agriculture, dispossession of land and obviously logging, which consequently affects man and his domestic and international security under multiple direct and indirect relationships, as evidenced in the letter between 2016 and 2021.
