Interview with Captain William Tomás Pedroza Nieto. From Colombian maritime and river interests to the ruling of The Hague 2023

Abstract

He was born in a village of Chiquinquirá, Boyacá on March 5, 1967 and entered the Almirante Padilla Naval School in 1993 to the Administrative Corps, after having provided his military service in the Presidential Guard battalion and completed his professional studies in International Relations at the University jorge tadeo lozano. Subsequently, he completed his master's studies in Environmental Management and Audits with an emphasis on Marine Science and Technology, and is also a specialist in Pedagogy, a specialist in Environmental Law and a diploma in Law of the Sea.
He is a doctoral candidate in Marine Sciences. Guest researcher at the University of Alcalá (Spain) in the Area of Public International Law, lecturer in national and international settings and professor in Law of the Sea, Public International Law, Comprehensive Maritime Security, Ocean Governance, Oceanopolitics, Maritime Terrorism, Environment Marino, among others, in different universities and military institutions.
