In this post-conflict stage that crosses Colombia, the opportunity to change the rhythm of the tasks of some of the companies in the defense sector is presented, in this sense, to direct its activities to the service of the development of the Nation and in this specific case to the service of the international and regional maritime community offering important services; The countries must plan, explore, exploit and offer what they know best as a competitive advantage and the General Maritime Directorate - DIMAR has shown internationally to be a regional power in the planning, development, operation and monitoring of hydrographic issues; In this way, it could not only help Colombia to consolidate itself as a maritime country, a leader in the research and operation of hydrographic activities aimed at the development of science and which in turn contribute to the maritime security of users, but to obtain revenues from such tasks.Author Biographies
